What We Believe
Whole Heart Ministries is a conservative, evangelical ministry, which means we are committed to: 1) demonstrating the reality of a vital and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, 2) relying upon the Bible as God's revealed truth and our sole authority in matters of life and godliness, and 3) impacting the world, both individuals and families, with the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Statement of Essential Beliefs provides a detailed explanation of the doctrinal beliefs that shape this ministry of teaching and service. The Statement of Faith that follows is a summary statement of the core beliefs that define and direct us a ministry.
Statement of Faith
We affirm the Bible-the entire Old and New Testaments-as God's
complete, true and trustworthy word, and as our sole authority and guide in
all matters of life and godliness. We affirm the essential, fundamental
doctrines of God's word recognized as the historic, evangelical Christian
faith, and the centrality of the person and work of Jesus Christ to that faithhis
divine nature, virgin birth, sinless life, attesting miracles, atoning death,
bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and future return in glory. We
affirm the biblical priority of the church, the visible body of Christ in both
its local and universal expressions, in defending and extending that faith,
and the absolute necessity of God's Spirit for enabling individual Christians
to live according to that faith. We affirm the biblical primacy of the family,
as designed and blessed by God "in the beginning," for transmitting and
transferring that faith from one generation to the next, and the unassailable
truth of Scripture that every child is a blessing to be desired and a gift from
God the Father.
