Heartfelt Discipline Is in the Store!

Heartfelt Discipline

Heartfelt Discipline, by Clay Clarkson

You can order Heartfelt Discipline now from the Whole Heart Store (last tab). Or just click here and go right to the order page¬†(link is active on the full post page).¬†There will be an official book release online later this month, but it’s available and in stock now so you don’t have to wait. We sold nearly 1,000 copies (!!!) at our recent Mom Heart conferences, so there is clearly a hunger to learn what God really says in His Word about childhood discipline. It’s time for all of us as Bible-believing Christian parents to take a fresh look at this sometimes fractious topic. I guarantee you will be challenged by this book, and I pray you will be encouraged and strengthened as a parent. The new version includes a full group discussion guide, so gather some friends and read and discuss the book together. An ebook version will be available soon for all major ebook platforms and providers.

  1. I was wondering if this title might be made available as an e-book (either PDF or on Kindle) so that I can take it with me everywhere I go. :)

  2. Michelle says:

Will this book be available in digital format? I would love to read it and digital is my preferred format.

    • wholeheart says:

Yes. We are waiting for BookBaby to distribute it to all ebook platforms. Soon, but don’t know when.

  3. Fia Kilbourn says:

It would be great to see this title offered as a digital book for kindle or any other digital reader.

  4. I’ve heard wonderful things about this book from the Gentle Christian Mothers forum. Many are asking about Kindle versions so they can purchase it overseas. Are there plans to release it for sale worldwide or on Kindle? Thank you!

    • wholeheart says:

Heartfelt Discipline will be available on all major ebook formats soon, including Kindle. There was a technical problem that slowed down the process, but look for it within the next 2-3 weeks.

  5. A vibrant “Yes” for the Kindle version for all the craving overseas moms!!!!! :-)

  6. I know this doesn’t really apply to this post, but I was wondering if you have heard of The ChildWhisperer and if you have thoughts on whether it is an edifying book. Some christian parents I know are really getting into this, and I would love to understand more of my children and be able to minister directly toward their personalities, but I don’t want to be confused by weird teaching either. I don’t really know anything about the book, save a few references. I respect your opinion and would love to hear what you think.

    • wholeheart says:

I’m not familiar with the book. In Educating the WholeHearted Child, chapter 8, I talk about personalities (Doer, Helper, Mover, Shaper) and how to think about them from a biblical perspective.

  7. Some of our children are adopted. Does your book speak to this?

    • wholeheart says:

The book does not address adopted children or blended families, but the principles should still be applicable.

  8. Hello, I am a 52 year old, soon to be empty nester who has neighbors who both work full time and have three kids under 5, set of twins. Both parents are so nice and trying so hard but are having discipine issues. They are not christians, and are not interested in any christian parenting books. Everything I have is based on scripture.
I love this family so much and would love to hear if you have any ideas to share. Do you know of anything I could give them or tell them?
I told her that Truth sands on it own, so the principlses of parenting in scripture work even if you don’t believe in the messenger. Didn’t seem to go over.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

Maybe you could give/loan them a copy of Heartfelt Discipline and talk about it over coffee or a meal sometime. There is a conversion process of moving from discipline by formula to discipline by faith, and it will come through relationship and talking. Our 24 Family Ways is also a good resource to recommend.
