  1. I read the earlier edition and loved it. I trust the third edition is even better!

  2. I am SO excited about the book being finished. I started out homeschooling 14 years ago and had
your book to help me. We just graduated our first child! I want your 3rd edition of WholeHearted
Child to finish off our last 3 years and to use it to mentor other families in homeschooling. I was
ready to buy it, but the store is not open. Can you tell me when I can order it? Thank you. We
appreciate the ministry you and your family have : ) Pat G.

  3. Woohoo! How exciting!!! I have been waiting for this updated one to be released for a very long time now! It is my absolute favorite book on homeschooling and I can’t wait to have the updated edition in my hands! Just in time for summer reading! Perfect! Thanks Clay :-)

  4. I too am so very excited about this. I have an earlier edition but as a Mum just starting out on our home education journey I can’t wait to get my hands on this treasure! Looking forward to being able to order my copy when the website is all up and running and send much gratitude to the Clarkson family for their wonderful ministry.

  5. Question. I went to order WholeHearted Child at your Store and it is priced at $22. Is there anything I need to
do to receive the $18.00 price since it is before July 4th? I will wait to hear from you before I place my order.
I am VERY excited! Pat G.

  6. Carole Clark says:

I am so excited about the 3rd edition. I always try to keep a few copies on hand for gifts and those opportunities God gives us to share. Our children are almost grown, but because of “The Wholehearted Child” many years ago we started our home school journey and what a blessing it has been for all of us.

BTW, as I was closing my order I noticed that the zip code was wrong. I could not change it then. It is not 78006 it is 78015. Hope this gets to you before it is shipped

    Thank you so much

  7. Will the new edition be available for Kindle?

  8. I JUST GOT MY NEW EWHC! I am so excited. I have prayed for you as you have worked on this new
addition. My husband is an author and I KNOW how these projects go : ) It is currently raining. I am going
to make a lovely cuppa and give myself 20 minutes to take a first look at the new edition. Blessings to you and your family. Thank you for your ministry. Pat G.

  9. Lillian Gimmelli says:

I am so excited that the new version of the book is out. I will be ordering first thing tomorrow morning. Thank you for the opportunity to read it again, in a longer version. God Bless.

  10. I never had the opportunity to read your first editions, and I’m excited about receiving a copy of your latest ETWHC! I’ve been homeschooling 3 years, and I’ve never had a book as thorough as yours! Thank you and God Bless.

  11. Hi Clarksons!
I just got my package with the NEW ETWHC, a couple of Sally’s books and Joel’s c’d's. I am SUPER excited to read your book this summer and we are very much enjoying Joel’s music! Thank you so much for your ministry!

  12. Hello Clay and Sally :)

Just wanted to pop in and say I am loving the new edition. It’s pricking me to my core, but oh I need it. It’s speaking right into me–I’m reading the part on nurturing. I need to be more intentional and attentive. Plain and simple.
Thank you for your ministry. I can’t tell you enough how wonderful it is. It was Sarah Mae who first introduced me to your ministry a couple years back. I’ve been hooked ever since. Anyways, I just wanted to pop in and tell you that. ((Hugs))
See you in Oct. Sally!!! :)

  13. Love it! I am enjoying it so much! My friend let me borrow her earlier edition until I ordered the new edition. Love that you have shared a list of books – that is so helpful. And I tell everyone about this book. I believe it should be in every homeschool library! It is a book that you can keep on gleaning from year after year!

  14. This is a very thought provoking book. Many things to challenge how you think about homeschooling.

From day one you can start implementing new things in your home.

I’m thankful for being able to learn from the Clarkson’s!

  15. I very much want to get this book and the book, “Quiverfull” by Kathryn Joyce. My husband and I are working on finishing our home so we can have a larger family and I can teach them at home and I believe these 2 books would greatly aide me in my knowledge in obtaining and maintaining these goals.

  16. Faith Dossett says:

This sounds like a great book! I’d also like to read The Mission of Motherhood. Thank you!!

  17. I am so thankful I found this book. It has given me a new freedom in teaching and joy in learning for my children. Many times as I read this book I thought, “that’s what I was thinking.” Thank you for helping us guide our children to become wholehearted students, prepared for God’s work not “well-rounded” students prepared for college and a career.

[...] Homeschooling is real life, don’t you agree?  I often hear mothers’ concerns that life gets in the way of their homeschooling, and they are stressed out due to lengthy periods of time they are not able to do as much learning as what was ‘scheduled’. That is exactly how it should be – LIFE IS SCHOOL.  Clay and Sally Clarkson compiled it beautifully in “Educating the WholeHearted Child”  [...]
